After receiving her Physician Assistant Degree in graduate school, Anja N. Strehlow, PA-C, MS started working in an HIV clinic for the medically underserved patients in NYC. She also began working part-time in orthopedic surgery. After two years, she transitioned to working full-time in orthopedic surgery while specializing in hip and knee joint replacement surgery.
Ms. Strehlow moved to the bay area in 2002 at which time she began working at UCSF. She initially worked in the orthopedic surgery department. However, her true passion and interest in cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology and the complexities of ICU management, led her to join the Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Team in 2006.
